Julian is a banking sector veteran. He spent over three decades at the largest financial institution in Mexico. During his tenure, he transformed the bank’s processes, improved its customer service, and enhanced cost efficiency.

Julian also has five years of experience in internal control and fraud prevention within the SME sector, in addition to almost ten years in entrepreneurship and developing high-performance teams.

Along with being passionate about finance, Julian is also drawn to technology. This dual interest is what led him to the fintech space, where he identified a market opportunity. According to him, he saw the need for more accessible and innovative payment solutions. LKL Pay was founded to fulfill this need. “I founded LKL Pay with the goal of offering inclusive financial tools,” Julian says.  His experience in the banking sector, technology consulting, and entrepreneurship enabled him to build it from scratch.

Julian has several achievements to his credit. One of the key highlights of his career is his 30+ years of experience in Mexico’s leading bank. According to him, he played a pivotal role — actively participated – in the digital transformation of the bank. He is also highly experienced in the operation and management of financial services, which makes him a distinguished figure in this space.

Julian considers his entrepreneurial ventures as major achievements of his professional journey. In addition to founding LKL Pay as a payment processor, he also established Lokal IT, a tech development company specializing in the fintech sector.

Julian decided to found LKL Pay because he identified a need for customers. He continues to determine their needs by visiting them. “I visit clients to understand their needs firsthand and anticipate solutions,” he says. And Julian participates in business forums as well. He also serves as a member of the ABM convention. According to him, he prioritizes his responsibilities based on a strategic focus combined with active day-to-day management.

Julian handles multiple responsibilities. Despite that, he is able to maintain a work-life balance. “I firmly believe in the importance of balancing personal and professional life,” he says. He achieves a balance by practicing effective time management. He has set clear priorities as well.

Julian has allocated specific moments when he disconnects from his professional responsibilities and spends time with his family. Additionally, he works out. Julian shares that physical exercise is a fundamental part of his daily routine.

Plans for the Future

Julian envisions LKL Pay to be a regional leader in digital payments. In order to achieve this goal, they are expanding their operations into new markets. Also, they are developing products that meet current needs.

“I also emphasize the importance of persistence and never giving up on their dreams,” he says.
