Chris Erhardt: Balances Creative Problem-Solving with Data-Driven Decision Making

Top 10 Most Influential Business Leaders Making a Difference, 2025

Chris Erhardt is an exemplary Business & Management Consultant with a creative flair. With a background in creativity, he brings to the table unique, innovative solutions to address clients’ problems and move their businesses forward.

If one had to describe Chris in a word, it would be “strategic.” He helps businesses move forward by balancing creative problem-solving with data-driven decision making. One reason for Chris’s success is his long-term vision to deal with every challenge, instead of short-term, quick fixes.

Chris’s professional journey has not been linear. “This is what makes it rewarding,” he says. Music and sales are where he first made his mark, and then, he stepped into the business consulting and tech space. Chris has experience of working with startups, municipalities, and scaling companies – each with their own unique challenges. “What has been consistent is the need to stay adaptable and forward-thinking – whether that means leveraging AI, streamlining operations, or helping founders clarify their value propositions,” he says.

For him, his biggest reward is seeing real transformation in people – the growth in their confidence and capacity. “And the challenge? Constant change. But if you’re wired for curiosity and problem-solving, it’s a space where you can thrive,” Chris adds.

Pitching for a Song and a Sales Solution

Chris shares that early on in his professional journey, he was “deeply immersed” in the music world as a songwriter and producer. However, concurrently, he was also building a career in sales, where he advanced from entry-level to sales management roles.  At the time, he was either pitching a song or a solution.

While balancing both worlds, he learned the art of communication, became persistent, and gained a comprehensive understanding of people’s needs. “Working in sales shaped my ability to think strategically, stay adaptable, and lead by example,” Chris says. “It also grounded my leadership style in empathy and results.”

Today, as a leader, he does not just focus on vision. His focus is also on the action part. He makes sure that every step they take brings measurable value, both for the team and the people they serve.

Challenges: Clients’ Fixed Mindset and Skepticism

Many of Chris’s clients are focused on short-term survival rather than long-term strategy. He points out that changing their mindset is not easy, and this, according to him, is a major challenge he faces as a consultant.

“Convincing someone to slow down, step back, and build a scalable foundation can be tough when they are in the trenches,” he explains. Chris has adopted a multi-pronged approach to overcome such types of challenges. First, he leads with empathy. In addition to that, he shares relevant success stories with his clients, which can influence them and shift their mindset. And Chris has also created quick wins that help build trust between him and the clients.

Chris has transitioned from music tech to municipal consulting and startup advising. He experienced skepticism when he was moving from one industry to another. I learned that credibility comes from delivering real results, not fitting into a traditional box,” Chris says.

Because of the challenges he has encountered and overcome, he now inspires others to break barriers. Chris shows them what is possible when they “lean into their strengths, embrace innovation, and stop waiting for the ‘perfect time’ to start building something great.”

About Tunedly, Bring My Song To Life, and LSPS Solutions

Tunedly and Bring My Song To Life are two sides of the same coin, both rooted in the power of music,” Chris says. He established Tunedly as a professional online recording studio and music discovery platform. The intention was to help independent artists produce high-quality music and get discovered. Bring My Song To Life, on the other hand, takes a more personal approach. According to Chris, they create custom songs based on people’s stories for special occasions like weddings, anniversaries, or memorials. “It is a way to turn memories into music,” he adds.

LSPS Solutions has no link to Bring My Song To Life and Tunedly. This venture focuses on consultancy. Through this organization, Chris offers consulting services, which help municipal governments and utilities modernize their operations. “We focus on asset management, regulatory compliance, and implementing smart technology to streamline workflows,” he adds. “It’s about solving complex problems in a practical, results-driven way.”

Establishing Tunedly and Bring My Song To Life

Chris shares that Tunedly was “born out of a personal frustration.” He, as a songwriter, was struggling to find a professional production. According to him, it was proving to be a challenge to connect with top-tier session musicians or producers online. “So, we created a platform that gave independent artists access to industry-level talent without needing a major label budget,” he shares

“Bring My Song To Life came a little later, almost by accident,” Chris adds. He recalls that people began asking if they could create songs for birthdays, anniversaries, or memorials. They were not looking for songs to release commercially; they wanted songs that conveyed their personal moments. “This inspired us to launch a separate brand focused entirely on storytelling through music,” Chris says.

Under his leadership, both brands evolved by leaning into innovation. They have evolved it by integrating AI to scale production or shifting focus based on what their audience needed. Chris says, “It has been about listening, adapting, and staying ahead of the curve.”

Significant Achievements

Chris has a series of achievements to his credit. As a business and management consultant, he considers his most significant achievement to be: enabling multiple international startups secure acceptance into Canadian government-backed incubator programs. This, according to him, opened the door for these startups to immigrate and build globally competitive businesses. “It is incredibly fulfilling to see founders go from an idea on paper to a funded, structured company with real traction,” Chris points out.

He is also proud of the systems and frameworks he has built over the years. According to him, they have been consistently delivering results – for example, scaling revenue, securing investment, in addition to getting through complex regulatory hurdles.

“Helping entrepreneurs unlock their potential — and watching them create jobs, innovate, and thrive — has been one of the most rewarding outcomes of my work,” Chris says.

A Typical Day and Work-Life Balance

As a Business & Management Consultant, Chris’s role is multifaceted. He primarily works with startups and municipal clients on strategic initiatives. Some of his responsibilities involve implementing AI-driven systems, refining business models, and crafting scalable growth plans.

Chris’s typical workday includes consulting sessions. He also reviews documentation and collaborates with teams to drive efficiency and innovation. “What ties it all together is my commitment to delivering tangible, high-level results,” Chris says. He strives to be the kind of leader who not only achieves results but also helps others see what is possible for themselves.

For Chris, too, like most leaders, maintaining a work-life balance is a challenge. He finds it more challenging because he is “deeply invested” in the success of his clients and ventures. Chris tries to maintain a balance by creating intentional space to disconnect and recharge. “One of the ways I do that is through flying — I’m a licensed pilot, and getting up in the air has become my version of meditation,” he shares. It forces him to be “fully present, sharp, and calm.” Chris explains that the clarity offered by it often gives him the mental reset he needs to stay motivated and make better decisions in the field.

Additionally, Chris gives importance to the structure — whether it is time-blocking or delegating. This allows him to give his best both at work and at home. And Chris derives his motivation from the impact he gets to make through his work. He also feels a sense of motivation when he sees his own constant evolution, not just as a professional, but as a person.

The Consulting Approach

Chris’s approach to consulting is “rooted in empowerment through clarity, structure, and momentum.” He does not believe in giving every client the same advice. Chris explains that he never gives “cookie-cutter” advice because every individual and organization has their unique strengths, blind spots, and goals.

When clients come to him, he does not immediately offer an answer. He begins the consulting process by asking them a series of questions. “From there, I build customized strategies that are actionable, measurable, and aligned with long-term vision,” Chris says. “What makes my methodology unique is how I blend business intuition with systems thinking.” He is known for helping clients break down complex challenges into manageable steps – innovation and scalability continue to be at the core.

Chris’s consulting process not only solves today’s problems for organizations but also builds their capability to thrive tomorrow.

Vision for LSPS Solutions

Chris envisions LSPS Solutions asthe go-to partner” for municipalities and utilities seeking smart, sustainable, and future-ready infrastructure solutions. “We’re not just consultants — we’re solution builders,” he points out.

LSPS Solutions offers traditional services, but in addition to that, it is also investing heavily in technology, such as Flo-Trace, which is a digital tool for backflow compliance and asset management. Chris points out that they are also integrating AI into their offerings. For example, an AI-powered citizen service bot, helps local governments handle resident inquiries more efficiently. And, with their AI-generated Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, municipalities are able to streamline their documentation and training for municipal staff. “These innovations allow our clients to save time, reduce costs, and operate with greater transparency,” Chris points out.

Under Chris’s leadership, LSPS Solutions continues to be competitive. He explains that staying competitive means being ahead of the curve. “We stay competitive by constantly exploring new ways to combine deep industry expertise with the power of AI and automation,” he adds.

Personal and Professional Goals

Chris is focused on achieving several personal and professional goals. He plans to continue driving innovation at the “intersection of business, technology, and strategy.” He is striving to accomplish this by enabling municipalities to modernize their operations with AI as well as guiding startups on how to achieve scalable, sustainable growth.

Chris wants to keep building systems and solutions that have a long-term impact, in addition to contributing to thought leadership in the consulting space.

As for his personal goals, Chris intends to live a life with purpose and balance and stay grounded while growing. Surrounding himself with people who challenge him and gaining experiences that inspire him are his other personal goals.

Message to Aspiring Leaders and Entrepreneurs

Chris encourages aspiring leaders and entrepreneurs to take the plunge without waiting for the perfect moment. “Just start,” he says. He tells them that they should not expect a linear path to leadership or to develop something meaningful, and they will never find all the answers upfront.

Additionally, he advises aspiring leaders and entrepreneurs to be adaptable, stay curious, and surround themselves with people who challenge and support them. He tells them to see failures as feedback and not as roadblocks.

In his message, Chris also underscores the importance of leading with purpose. “If you lead with purpose — whether it’s solving a problem, serving a community, or creating something that didn’t exist before — you’ll find the motivation to keep going even when things get tough,” Chris points out. “Trust your vision, but build with discipline. That’s how real impact happens.”

What Is Success?

Chris points out that success is important in leadership because it sets the tone. “If our version of success includes integrity, innovation, and impact, our team will follow suit,” he says. “It becomes a shared mission, not just a personal goal.”

For Chris, success is much more than metrics and milestones. To him, it means creating something that lasts and positively impacts people’s lives.

“And, as a leader, I define success by how well I can align vision with execution, empower others to grow, and build systems that work even when I’m not in the room,” Chris says.
